Poll

What would you call the neighborhood in NYC that is immediately below Houston Street? This is likely an obvious answer, but I am curious about one thing so if you'd write in a reply I'd be much obliged.

    (This feels like a trick question!)

    But I suppose I divide this in my mind--to the east of, let's say, the Bowery, it's LES, and to the far west it's the West Village (past 6th Ave?).

    Now I want to know why you're asking. =]
