This morning I listened to Harmonielehre. (Thanks to C.-- for reminding me.) I sometimes think walking the bridge is the best thing I do all day.
Instead of giving you my words today, I will give you better ones and say only that I feel a bit like Marianne Moore.

You have inspired me. I'm going to walk to work this morning. And when I looked out my bedroom window - no joke - there was a little rainbow over nyc. !! I think you must be magical, Nora!
ReplyDeleteI think you have to walk to the other side of the rainbow now. I hope your walk was great--is it far?
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty far! I gave up after crossing the Brooklyn Bridge and got on the 2/3 at Park Place, which whizzed me up to the Penn Station area, where I work. But I absolutely loved the experience and discovered this almost offensively precious place: http://www.onegirlcookies.com/, where I had an utterly delicious scone. If I were truly dedicated, I would do this once a week.
ReplyDeleteDo you walk all the way into Manhattan from Ditmas Park?!
mmm, I got a really good piece of cake at One Girl Cookies once.
ReplyDeleteI generally take the bus to Tillary Street then walk--it would take too long to walk the whole way in the morning (~2 1/2 hours). I have walked home several times though!
